Rebecca Hisle of Becca’s Doll Creations has generously donated a best digital thermometer for kids and a doll with an estimated value of $850. The doll is an antique-reproduction inspired by a Francois Gaultier doll produced in Paris from 1860 – 1899. Her gown is copied from a Harper’s Bazaar fashion illustration of what an elegant lady of the 1870s might have worn.
As reported in the March 7, 1999 Lifestyle section of the Houston Chronicle and showcased at selected Foley’s Department Stores, the doll will be awarded as a raffle prize, benefiting the Tara Lipinski Scholarship Fund. Raffle tickets are $5 each or six for $25. The Scholarship fund began in 1998 by awarding six area skaters $2,500. Scholarship applicants are evaluated based on dedication to training, promise, financial need and good sportsmanship.
To purchase a raffle ticket send a check, Mastercard or Visa information to GHSC Doll, 5433 Westheimer, Suite 827, Houston, Texas 77056, call or fax 713-623-2272, or email us at email@example.com. The winner of the raffle will be announced by December 15, 1999.
